The Role of KH-Type Splicing Regulatory Protein (KSRP) for Immune Functions and Tumorigenesis
TL;DR: Aside of initiation of mRNA decay, the KSRP-mediated regulation of microRNA maturation seems to be especially important for its diverse biological functions, which warrants further in-depth examination.
β2 Integrins on Dendritic Cells Modulate Cytokine Signaling and Inflammation-Associated Gene Expression, and Are Required for Induction of Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis
Monika Bednarczyk,V. Bolduan,Maximilian Haist,Henner Stege,Christoph Hieber,Lisa Johann,Carsten Schelmbauer,Michaela Blanfeld,Khalad Karram,J. Schunke,Tanja Klaus,Ingrid Tubbe,Evelyn Montermann,Nadine Röhrig,Maike Hartmann,Jana Schlosser,Tobias Bopp,Björn E. Clausen,Ari Waisman,Matthias Bros,Stephan Grabbe +20 more
TL;DR: A CD18 gene floxed mouse strain is generated and may prove to be a valuable tool to study the leukocyte-specific functions of β2 integrins in vivo.
Anti-BP230 only bullous pemphigoid constitutes a distinct disease subgroup with characteristic serological and clinical features.
Torben Ramcke,V. Bolduan,Elisabeth Vicari,Kaan Yilmaz,Ines Bertlich,Stephanie Goletz,Swantje Mindorf,Jochen H.O. Hoffmann,R. Schmidt,Alexander Enk,Eva Hadaschik +10 more
TL;DR: The most frequent autoimmune blistering disease, bullous pemphigoid (BP), has a high clinical significance owing to the enhanced mortality of the most elderly patients as mentioned in this paper .

Topical application of adenosine A2-type receptor agonists prevents contact hypersensitivity reactions in mice by affecting skin dendritic cells.
Cinthia Silva-Vilches,V. Bolduan,Mohamad Alabdullah,Kerstin Steinbrink,Hans Christian Probst,Alexander Enk,Karsten Mahnke +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the use of Ado receptor agonists for the treatment of contact hypersensitivity reactions was investigated, and the results showed that topical application of ado receptor agents to the skin prevented sensitization of T cells against haptens by reducing the migration and activation of skin migratory dendritic cells.

The mRNA-Binding Protein KSRP Limits the Inflammatory Response of Macrophages
V. Bolduan,Kim-Alicia Palzer,Christoph Hieber,J. Schunke,Michael Fichter,Paul Schneider,Stephan Grabbe,Andrea Pautz,Matthias Bros +8 more
TL;DR: In vitro findings demonstrate that KSRP constitutes an important negative regulator of cytokine expression in macrophages, and in vivo relevance of KSRP deficiency for cytokine/chemokine production was analyzed in an acute inflammation model.
