The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of person-organization fit, quality of work-life and organizational justice on employee performance at PT Jambi Regional Development Bank in Jambi West Region using job satisfaction as a mediator. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 201 respondents and a sample of 134 respondents. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this study is The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) statistical software AMOS 5.00 on the model and study of hypotheses. The results showed that person-organization Fit had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Quality of Work Life has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Organizational justice has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Person-Organization Fit does not affect employee performance. Quality of Work Life does not affect employee performance. Organizational justice does not affect employee performance. Person-Organization Fit has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. Quality of Work Life has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. Organizational justice has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The findings of this study state that the variables Person-Organization Fit (P-O Fit), Quality of work-life, Organizational Justice, and job satisfaction have never been tested all simultaneously on employee performance. The second finding of this study is that job satisfaction has a strong effect on performance. In addition, research at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jambi in Jambi West Region is still very rarely done.

The relationship between working conditions, fatigue and quality of work life in the apparel industry

This study examines the relationship between employee commitment, workplace reward, career development and quality of work life. Using the social exchange lens, we developed hypotheses that focus on employee commitment, workplace reward, career development and their effects on quality of work life. The authors surveyed 350 employees in 30 insurance companies operating in Nigeria. Data from 350 employees reveals that employee commitment significantly influences quality of work life. Workplace reward has a significant effect on quality of work life. Further, career development promotes quality of work life. These results clarify the role employee commitment, workplace reward and career development play in fostering quality of work life in the emerging market context. The results of the study, limitations and suggestions for future studies are presented.

Linking Employee Commitment, Workplace Reward And Career Development To Quality Of Work Life

Orientation: The success of each and every business was greatly influenced by the quality of the working environment. Therefore, it is crucial to comprehend the nature of the workplace and how it affects employees' dedication, particularly in the case of the insurance industry. Purpose: The overall goal of this study was to ascertain the link between quality of work life and employee commitment in the insurance industry, particularly in the Hoshiarpur district, and to investigate the impact of work-life quality on employee commitment. The absence of research on the connections between employee commitment and quality of work life makes it difficult to learn about both employee commitment and quality of work life, as well as the impact of QWL (predictor) on employee commitment (dependent).Research methodology: In the Hoshiarpur district, a descriptive research using a sample of N = 66 insurance industry workers was used. The information was gathered using Tanya Nayak's employee commitment survey scale and scale measuring the quality of nursing work-life. The questionnaire was electronically disseminated to workers in the insurance industry in order to perform a pilot study. Using IBM SPSS 25 version software, the Cronbach's alpha, mean, standard deviation, and correlation were determined. Findings: The data showed that employee commitment and quality of work life are fully associated, and the predictor has also demonstrated its impact over the dependents. Implications: The findings shed light on how workers' commitment to their jobs in the insurance industry is influenced by their quality of work life. Improved knowledge of how quality of work life affects employee commitment in the insurance industry contributes to the body of knowledge regarding both these topics, particularly in the context of the insurance industry in the Hoshiarpur district of the Punjabi province. 

An Empirical study to investigate the Impact of Quality of Work-life on Employee Commitment among employees in the Insurance Industry in the Hoshiarpur District, Punjab, India


Purpose
The purpose of this study is to determine the enablers of the quality of work life (QWL) of employees working in the Garment industries.


Design/methodology/approach
The study was carried out in a fivefold step. In the first step, the enablers of QWL were identified through an exhaustive literature survey, in the second step identified vital few components through Pareto analysis. Then the third step was followed by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to further, to identify the precise components and validate the same using confirmatory factor analysis in fourth step. The final step included interpretive structural modeling and Cross-Impact Matrix Multiplication Applied to Classification analysis to model the validated components and determine the interrelationships and linkages.


Findings
Predominant QWL enablers of employees working in the garment industries are training and development, satisfaction in job, compensation and rewards, relation and co-operation, grievance handling, work environment, job nature, job security and facilities.


Research limitations/implications
In this study, the interpretive structural model is designed based on the opinion of the experts who are working in the garment industry considering the responses from employees in garment sectors. The framework can be extended further to the other sectors.


Practical implications
In future, the researchers in QWL may develop a model to quantify the level of employees’ QWL who are working in different sectors. Enablers of QWL are essential, and based on this further statistical analysis can be carried out. This study will provide limelight to the researchers in choosing the valid and reliable set of enablers for the empirical studies. Organizations can get benefit by implementing the outcome of this research for the enhancement of the QWL of employees.


Originality/value
The study was carried out in 133 garment industries where 851 workers constituted the final valid responses that were considered for analysis. The outcomes from the study help administrators, policy and decision-takers in taking decisions to enhance QWL.
