Farmers' valuation of incentives to produce genetically modified organism-free milk: Insights from a discrete choice experiment in Germany.
TL;DR: Comparison of the estimates for the 2 regions suggests that farmers in northern Germany are, on average, more likely to convert to genetically modified-free production; however, farmers in the south are, ceteris paribus, more responsive to an increase in the price premium offered.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider the present situation and future challenges of marketing organic food, drawing on experiences in Germany and the UK, and argue that the existing marketing structure in the UK is not effectively meeting demand because of structural incompatibilities between organic farming and supermarketing.
