Quantification of aortic distensibility in abdominal aortic aneurysm using ECG-gated multi-detector computed tomography
Maria-Katharina Ganten,Ute Krautter,Hendrik von Tengg-Kobligk,Dittmar Böckler,Hardy Schumacher,Wolfram Stiller,Stefan Delorme,Hans-Ulrich Kauczor,Günter W. Kauffmann,Michael Bock +9 more
TL;DR: The reduction of distensibility within aneurysms compared to normal proximal aorta is subtle; the lack of difference between both small and large aneuryms suggests that this reduction occurs early in the aneurYSm's development, which might be a predictive parameter in patients with high risk of aortic disease.

Fatal Clostridium septicum infection in a patient with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma undergoing multimodal oncologic therapy.
Ute Krautter,Martin Mory,Carolin Mogler,Martina Schmaus,Stefan Zimmermann,Klaus Klemm,Jürgen Debus,Susanne Oertel +7 more
TL;DR: Iradiation as well as chemotherapy may have enhanced the risk of C. septicum infection in a patient with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma undergoing irradiation due to abdominal bulk by immunosuppression and induction of mucosal damage.

Age related changes of human aortic distensibility: evaluation with ECG-gated CT
Marika Ganten,Ute Krautter,Waldemar Hosch,Jochen Hansmann,Hendrik von Tengg-Kobligk,Stefan Delorme,Hans-Ulrich Kauczor,Günter W. Kauffmann,Michael Bock +8 more
TL;DR: Vascular cross-sectional area changes have been determined using ECG-gated CT to analyse the age dependency of aortic distensibility using a modified routine CT angiography study to determine an age-dependent decrease of aortsic wall elasticity.
