Immunohistochemical identification of TGF-beta1 at the maxillaries in growing Sprague-Dawley rats and after muscle section.
TL;DR: It is found that bone was formed through an endomembranous pathway with intense TGF-beta1 staining inside chondroid cells during the maximum development stages and at the palate, the intervention caused a greater disturbance of the growing pattern, which did not recover normality.

Comparison of cephalometric variables between adult Spanish and Japanese women with Class I malocclusion.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the facial and dental morphology of adult Spanish and Japanese women with Class I malocclusion using lateral cephalograms and found that Japanese women had significant maxillary and mandibular protrusion, clockwise mandibulum rotation, greater labial tipping of incisors, and a smaller interincisal angle compared with Spanish women.

TL;DR: The appliances' opening is related to the interdental distance changes, i.e. for each appliance's opening mm, a 0,94 variation in the upper intermolar distance, a0,87 in theupper intercanine distance and 0,054 in the lower intermolars distance are provoked.
