- 25 Jan 2012
TL;DR: Evaluated the antimicrobial activity of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of Ficus benghalensis and Ficus racemosa against three bacterial strains that is Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumonia, it was clearly observed that Ethanolic extract of both the plants were having good antimacterial activity towards StaphyllococcusAureus.
Healing promoting potentials of roots of Ficus benghalensis L. in albino rats.
TL;DR: It is concluded that aqueous extract is more effective than ethanolic extract for wound healing, however, it is needed more research to be carried out especially on toxicity studies of ethAnolic extract.

Reversal of Dexamethasone Depressant Action in Wound Healing by Ficus Benghalensis L. Roots
Krishna Murti,Upendra Kumar +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the wound healing activity of Ficus benghalensis was established by two medels namely incision and excision, and the results showed that presence of various chemical constituents in the roots of ficus bengalensis specially saponins, flavanoids, taannins and alkaloids were responsible for antagonizing the antihealing effect of dexamethasone treated animals.
