Mahyar Khorasani,Mahyar Khorasani,Amir Hossein Ghasemi,Umar Shafique Awan,Elahe Hadavi,Martin Leary,Milan Brandt,Guy Littlefair,William O’Neil,Ian Gibson,Ian Gibson +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process parameters on surface tension and roughness of Ti-6AI-4 V parts in three orientations is investigated.
On the role of process parameters on meltpool temperature and tensile properties of stainless steel 316L produced by powder bed fusion
Mahyar Khorasani,Mahyar Khorasani,Amir Hossein Ghasemi,Umar Shafique Awan,Sarat Singamneni,Guy Littlefair,Ehsan Farabi,Martin Leary,Ian Gibson,Ian Gibson,Jithin Kozhuthala Veetil,Bernard Rolfe +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a thermophysical-based analytical model was developed to measure the meltpool temperature and subsequently surface tension of the liquid in melting zones, and a statistical method was used to identify the effective process parameters in tensile properties including ultimate strength, fracture strain and toughness.
