Structure and properties of some glass-forming liquid alloys
TL;DR: In this article, small angle neutron scattering on a eutectic SnPb melt was used to confirm that two families of different sizes have been seen, one in the range 1 to 2 nm and one of size larger than 100 nm.

A neutron diffraction study of amorphous boron using a pulsed source
TL;DR: In this paper, the structure of amorphous boron has been investigated with pulsed neutron diffraction techniques using the ISIS facilities at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and the experimental static structure factor S(Q) and derived radial distribution function support a model based on building blocks of B12 icosahedra.

Collective excitations in a liquid semimetal: Molecular-dynamics simulation of the dynamics of liquid bismuth.
Mikhail Dzugutov,U. Dahlborg +1 more
TL;DR: Simulation sur un systeme de 16384 particules a 578 K: les pics lateraux du facteur de structure dynamique, attribues aux excitations collectives de densite, ne sont pas observables au-dela d'un vecteur d'onde Q=0,6A -1.

A hybrid time-of-flight spectrometer for thermal neutron scattering
TL;DR: In this article, a new time-of-flight spectrometer utilizing thermal neutrons has been installed at the 50 MW R2-reactor in Studsvik, where a double crystal arrangement is used to select monochromatic neutrons from the reactor beam.

A neutron diffraction study of amorphous boron
TL;DR: The static structure factor S(Q) of 99.1% enriched amorphous B-11 at 293 K has been determined by neutron diffraction techniques as discussed by the authors, which indicates that an icosahedral arrangement of boron atoms also exists as a subunit in the non-crystalline form with disorder occuring between the icosahedra.
