A Fast Finite Difference Method for Two-Dimensional Space-Fractional Diffusion Equations
Hong Wang,Treena Basu +1 more
TL;DR: A fast and yet accurate solution method for the implicit finite difference discretization of space-fractional diffusion equations in two space dimensions by carefully analyzing the structure of the coefficient matrices is developed.

A Novel Implementation of Siamese Type Neural Networks in Predicting Rare Fluctuations in Financial Time Series
TL;DR: This research does not just indicate that the proposed method is capable of distinguishing event images from non-event images, but more importantly, the method is effective even when only limited and strongly imbalanced data is available.

- 27 Oct 2015
TL;DR: A fast iterative finite difference method is developed, which has a memory requirement of O(N) and a computational cost of O (N logN) per iteration and some numerical results are shown to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the new method.
