TL;DR: This study investigates microglial responses to disseminated tumor cells in the brain, revealing heterogeneous initial responses and identifying targetable plasticity through TGF-β inhibition and CD24a/CD47 deletion, potentially offering a therapeutic window for early-stage brain metastasis treatment.

TL;DR: In this paper , the characteristics of patients with COPD in a respiratory clinic (n = 69) with those in a university hospital(n = 124) were cross-sectionally compared.
Abstract 2472: Interdisciplinary method to elucidate the interaction between brain microenvironment and cancer cells
TL;DR: Tsuji et al. as mentioned in this paper showed that enhanced microglial elimination of cancer cells is a new potential treatment for metastatic brain tumors by inhibiting their engraftment and showed that the effect of microglia response against cancer cells was not dependent on matured T-lymphocytes.
