TL;DR: The cDNA fragments of auxin-binding protein (ABP1) were isolated by degenerated-primer mediated reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) from dicotyledonous plant species, i.e. oat and rice, and some putative residues of amino acids could be found to be specific in dicots and monocot species, respectively.
Characterization and subcellular localization of a small GTP-binding protein (Ara-4) from Arabidopsis: conditional expression under control of the promoter of the gene for heat-shock protein HSP81-1.
TL;DR: Using transgenic plants, the subcellular localization of the product ofARA-4 was determined, and it was found that the protein was predominantly localized on Golgi-derived vesicles, Golgi cisternae and the trans-Golgi network.
