Prognostic value of ornithine decarboxylase and polyamines in human breast cancer: correlation with clinicopathologic parameters.
F. Canizares,J Salinas,M de las Heras,J Diaz,Tovar I,Pedro Miralles Martínez,Rafael Peñafiel +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the estimation of ODC activity and polyamines in human breast carcinoma might be useful to determine tumor aggressiveness and suggest that ODC may have a potential value as both a prognostic factor and a chemoprevention target inhuman breast cancer.
Preoperative values of CA 15-3 and CEA as prognostic factors in breast cancer: a multivariate analysis.
F. Canizares,J Sola,María Isabel Del Pino Pérez,Tovar I,M de las Heras,J Salinas,Rafael Peñafiel,Pedro Miralles Martínez +7 more
TL;DR: The role of circulating tumor markers in providing prognostic information has not been widely studied as discussed by the authors, however, the role of these markers for recurrence (175/364) and death of disease (104/175) was determined by Cox multivariate analysis, including the comparison with classical prognostic factors.

A study of the SCN5A gene in a cohort of 76 patients with Brugada syndrome.
Esperanza García-Molina,Javier Lacunza,Francisco Ruiz-Espejo,María Sabater,Arcadio García-Alberola,Juan R. Gimeno,F. Canizares,A García,P. Martinez,Mariano Valdés,Tovar I +10 more
TL;DR: Patients with mutations seemed to have more spontaneous type I ECG, but no differences in syncope or arrhythmic events compared with patients without mutations, and larger studies are needed to evaluate the role of polymorphisms in the SCN5A in the expression of the phenotype and prognosis.

Dependencia temporal del valor pronóstico de los receptores esteroides en el cáncer de mama
F. Canizares,Manuel Heras,Millán Pérez,Tovar I,Joaquín Sola,Inmaculada Viñals,J Salinas,Pedro Miralles Martínez +7 more
TL;DR: En pacientes con cancer de mama el fenotipo del receptor esteroide tiene un valor pronostico relativo, cuya significacion disminuye with el tiempo.
