In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for displaying mobile content in association with a website on a mobile communication facility based at least in part on receiving a website request from a mobile carrier gateway, receiving contextual information relating to the requested website, associating the received contextual information with a mobile content, and, finally, displaying the mobile content with the website on a mobile communication facility.

Generally, the methods and apparatuses for implementing dormant mode with paging basically include (1) establishing paging areas; (2) communicating access group information to a computing device; and (3) locating a computing device.

In order to the second coded data, the transcoding apparatus has a motion information calculating portion for calculating motion information to be included in the second coded data using at least motion information contained in said processing object data.

A digital content provider, representing an author, provides copyright-protected digital content data and a metadata file appended to it for the electronic distribution of the digital content over a network. The electronic distribution metadata describes various data about the digital content such as the title, the author, the content provider, the royalty, and the redistribution parameters. A primary content receiver receiving the digital content and the metadata, generates and transmits a notice of completion based on the metadata parameters. Upon receipt, an electronic distribution management system within a service provider (xSP) provides fee assessment and proceeds distribution services. Should the primary receiver transfer the content to a secondary receiver, the electronic distribution management system will equitably distribute the fees amongst the parties to the transaction when the notice of completion is received, thereby rewarding the owner of the copyright as determined by the redistribution parameters within the metadata.

Alternate window optimization procedures and/or LSP interpolation factor optimization procedures are used to improve the ITU-T G.729 speech coding standard (the “Standard”) by replacing the window used by the Standard with an optimized window and/or replacing the LSP interpolation factor used by the standard with an optimized LSP interpolation factor. Optimized windows created using the alternate window optimization procedure and/or optimized LSP interpolation factors created using the LSP interpolation factor optimization procedure yield improvements in the objective quality of synthesized speech produced by the Standard. In many cases, improvements are obtained using shorter windows, which results in reduced computational cost and/or smaller future buffering requirements, which results in lowered coding delay. The improved Standard, procedures, and optimized windows and LSP interpolation factors can all be implemented as computer readable software code and in optimization devices.
