PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to deal with the higher performance and lighter weight of mechanical devices by constituting the porous metallic body of perfo rated metallic sintered compact skeleton having specific porosity, thereby forming the porous metallic body having the specific surface area over the entire part and the porosity over the entire part. SOLUTION: The porous metallic body is composed of the skeleton of the perforated metallic sintered compact having the porosity of 10 to 55%. The porous metallic body is so formed as to have the specific surface area over the entire part of 300 to 3000cm /cm and the porosity over the entire part of 80 to 97%. The formation thereof is executed by molding a molding of a mixture composed of 0.5 to 10% of a 5 to 8C non-water-soluble hydrocarbon solvent 0.05 to 5% surfactant, 0.5 to 20% water-soluble resin binder, 30 to 80% metallic powder having 0.5 to 200μm average grain size and polyhydric alcohol, etc., then sintering the molded porous molding. As a result, the higher output of various kinds of the mechanical devices is attained.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an Ag-SnO 2 -BN electrical contact material excellent in deposition resistance and consumption resistance by providing a mechanical alloying joining layer onto the interface between fine grains of SnO 2 and BN, dispersedly distributed in specific proportions in an Ag matrix, and this Ag matrix. SOLUTION: This material has a composition consisting of, by weight, 2-14% SnO 2 , 0.02-2% BN, and the balance Ag with inevitable impurities and also has a structure in which SnO 2 grains of ≤0.5μm average grain size and BN grains of ≤1μm average grain size are uniformly dispersed and distributed in an Ag matrix and further a mechanical alloying joining layer exists in the interface between these grains and this Ag matrix. This structure can be obtained by mixing prescribed amounts of SnO 2 powder and Bn powder, being about 5-10μm in size, with Ag powder of ≤about 100mesh and applying mechanical alloying treatment to the resultant powder mixture by means of an attritor. Ag-tin oxide-boron nitride electrical contact material excellent in deposition resistance and consumption resistance

PURPOSE:To manufacture Ni alloy powder, in which fine Al2O3 is enclosed as layer state, by executing oxidizing treatment and reducing treatment to Ni-Al alloy raw material powder specifying the content. CONSTITUTION:The oxidizing treatment is executed to the Ni-Al alloy powder containing 1.5 - 1-% Al at 1000 - 1300 deg.C and preferably under fluidized condition. The formed oxide powder is made to have structure containing matrix composed of nickel oxide as essential material and annular complex oxide phase annularly flocculated fine Ni-Al complex oxide at between powder center part and powder peripheral part in the whole cross sectional face passing through the powder center part, and in other words, the annular complex oxide phase constituted of fine (Ni, Al)O coagulation-distributed as shell state making layers in inner part of the powder. Further, the reducing treatment is immediately executed to this oxide powder at 200 - 500 deg.C. NiO forming the matrix in the oxide powder as the essential material is reduced to Ni and the above annular complex oxide phase is changed to annular hardened phase containing fine Al2O3 as the essential material.

PURPOSE:To give excellent wear resistance and high strength to Ni-Cu-Al alloy powder by oxidizing the Ni-Cu-Al alloy powder at high temp. and successively, reducing it at low temp. CONSTITUTION:The Ni-Cu-Al alloy raw material powder composed of wt.% of 1.5-10% Al, 1-44% Cu and the balance Ni with inevitable impurities is heated and held to and at 900-1300 deg.C in an oxidizing atmosphere, and the oxidized desirably in a powder fluidizing condition. By this treatment, oxide powder having structure, in which cyclic complex oxide phase aggregated with fine (Ni, Cu, Al) O as ring-state exists between the powder center part and the powder peripheral part in all cross section passing the powder center part in matrix composed of (Ni, Cu) O as essential body, is formed. The oxide powder is heated and held to and at 200-500 deg.C in a reducing atmosphere to execute the reducing treatment and the matrix in the oxide powder is substantially made to Ni-Cu or Ni-Cu-Al alloy and also the cyclic complex oxide phase is made to ring hardened phase containing fine Al2O3 as essential body.
