A program for automatically predicting supramolecular aggregates and its application to urea and porphin.
Torsten Sachse,Torsten Sachse,Todd J. Martínez,Todd J. Martínez,Benjamin Dietzek,Martin Presselt +5 more
TL;DR: The open‐source program EnergyScan is presented for the unbiased prediction of geometrically diverse sets of small aggregates by performing a detailed scan of an aggregate's potential energy surface, from which diverse local energy minima are selected.
Tuning the polarity and surface activity of hydroxythiazoles – extending the applicability of highly fluorescent self-assembling chromophores to supra-molecular photonic structures
Stefanie H. Habenicht,Stefan Schramm,S. Fischer,Torsten Sachse,F. Herrmann-Westendorf,A. Bellmann,A. Bellmann,Benjamin Dietzek,Benjamin Dietzek,Martin Presselt,Martin Presselt,Dieter Weiß,Rainer Beckert,Helmar Görls +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a small library of N,N-diethyl- and -diethanolsulfonamides of differently substituted 2-(2-pyridyl)- and 2-pyrazinyl-4-alkoxythiazoles has been synthesized and investigated in terms of their photophysical properties, electronic structure (quantum chemical calculations at the CAM-B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) level of theory) and thin film morphology (Langmuir-Blodgett- and spin-cast films).
Efficient implementation of effective core potential integrals and gradients on graphical processing units
Chenchen Song,Chenchen Song,Lee-Ping Wang,Lee-Ping Wang,Torsten Sachse,Julia Preiß,Martin Presselt,Todd J. Martínez,Todd J. Martínez +8 more
TL;DR: Effective core potential integral and gradient evaluations are accelerated via implementation on graphical processing units (GPUs) through two simple formulas proposed to estimate the upper bounds of the integrals, and these are used for screening and sorting.
Photoannealing of Merocyanine Aggregates.
Felix Herrmann-Westendorf,Felix Herrmann-Westendorf,Torsten Sachse,Torsten Sachse,Martin Schulz,Martin Schulz,Martin Kaufmann,Vladimir Sivakov,Rainer Beckert,Todd J. Martínez,Todd J. Martínez,Benjamin Dietzek,Benjamin Dietzek,Martin Presselt +13 more
TL;DR: The photoinduced supramolecular structural changes reported in this work will influence the performance of optoelectronic devices composed of these structures and must be controlled to avoid morphological decomposition of active layers upon operation.
On the Control of Chromophore Orientation, Supramolecular Structure, and Thermodynamic Stability of an Amphiphilic Pyridyl-Thiazol upon Lateral Compression and Spacer Length Variation
Maximilian L. Hupfer,Maximilian L. Hupfer,Martin Kaufmann,Felix Herrmann-Westendorf,Felix Herrmann-Westendorf,Torsten Sachse,Torsten Sachse,Ludovic Roussille,Ludovic Roussille,Karl-Heinz Feller,Dieter Weiß,Volker Deckert,Volker Deckert,Rainer Beckert,Benjamin Dietzek,Benjamin Dietzek,Martin Presselt +16 more
TL;DR: This article demonstrates how to tune molecular orientations of amphiphilic 4-hydroxy thiazoles derivatives by means of the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique and how this depends on the length of an alkylic spacer between the thiazole chromophore and the polar anchor group.
