Teacher evaluation is a very relevant area of research in education. It offers a great potential to strengthen features of educational quality whether it is carried out while being adequately contextualized, by following the principles and characteristics of the evaluation defended in numerous scientific publications of main international experts. In order to base the correct evaluation, important aspects such as the model approaches, the scopes and contents, the objectives and decisions, the sources and methodologies and the regulations are analysed. In addition, the important role of teachers in the area of Research Methods and Diagnosis in Education (MRDE) belonging to Spanish universities, as well as the large quantity and quality of publications on this subject in scientific journals promoted by his research association AIDIPE.

Evaluación del Profesorado como camino directo hacia la mejora de la Calidad Educativa

Resumen El presente articulo tiene por objetivo analizar la descentralizacion evaluativa como una practica democratizadora orientada a la participacion y al fortalecimiento de los aprendizajes de los estudiantes. Desde una perspectiva interpretativa, se realiza una seleccion de la literatura especializada, considerando como criterios de revision el rol de los agentes evaluativos, la autorregulacion del aprendizaje y la descentralizacion evaluativa. El argumento central sostiene que la descentralizacion evaluativa consolida las practicas reflexivas, criticas y autocriticas asociadas a los procesos de aprendizaje. Se concluye que es fundamental consolidar procedimientos de autoevaluacion, coevaluacion y evaluacion de pares, con la finalidad de construir una evaluacion como un espacio de negociacion de significados e intersubjetividades que contribuyen a la creacion de una cultura evaluativa focalizada en el progreso de los aprendizajes significativos y en la construccion de un estudiante mas consciente de si mismo.

La descentralización de la práctica evaluativa orientada al autoaprendizaje del estudiante

espanolEn el marco de la didactica de las ciencias, diversos estudios han analizado las dificultades que presentan los alumnos en el aprendizaje de conceptos cientificos debido a la existencia de numerosas preconcepciones en fisica en general y en optica en particular. Esto ha originado la necesidad de elaborar materiales didacticos y disenar estrategias de ensenanza que permitan realizar un cambio conceptual en el alumnado, combatiendo las preconcepciones sobre los conceptos tratados. Esto implica promover una formacion cientifica adecuada en las etapas de formacion del profesorado de educacion primaria y una formacion didactica adecuada en la etapa de formacion del profesorado en educacion secundaria. La presente investigacion pretende contribuir al area de optica y al area de didactica de las ciencias experimentales mediante dos objetivos: por un lado, diagnosticar y analizar los niveles de conocimiento y de autoeficacia docente y las preconcepciones sobre conceptos relativos a luz y color en docentes en formacion y en el alumnado de educacion primaria. Por otro lado, disenar, elaborar, implementar y validar herramientas didacticas para la ensenanza de conceptos basicos de optica. Los resultados de la implementacion y validacion de las herramientas didacticas disenadas han revelado una mejora en el dominio cognitivo y nivel de autoeficacia docente del maestro en formacion en los conceptos objeto de estudio. Consideramos que estos resultados constituyen una prueba de la validez didactica de las herramientas disenadas en la presente Tesis Doctoral a la hora de llevar a cabo intervenciones de ensenanza sobre conceptos de luz y color. EnglishWithin the framework of science teaching, various studies have analysed the difficulties that students have in learning scientific concepts due to the existence of numerous misconceptions in physics in general and in optics in particular. This has led to the need to develop didactic materials and to design teaching strategies that allow for a conceptual change in the students, combating misconceptions about the concepts discussed. In this sense, it is necessary to promote an adequate scientific formation in the stages of formation of primary education teachers and an adequate didactic formation in the stage of formation of secondary education teachers. This research aims to contribute to the area of optics and to the area of didactics of experimental sciences with two objectives: on the one hand, to diagnose and analyse the levels of knowledge and teaching selfefficacy and the misconceptions about concepts relating to light and colour in teachers in training and in primary school pupils. On the other hand, to design, elaborate, implement and validate didactic tools for the teaching of basic concepts of optics. The results of the implementation and validation of the didactic tolos designed have revealed an improvement in the cognitive domain and level of teaching self-efficacy of the teacher in training in the concepts under study. We consider that these results constitute a proof of the didactic validity of the tolos designed in the current Doctoral Thesis when carrying out teaching interventions on the concepts of light and colour.

Luz y Color: Desarrollo de herramientas didácticas para mejorar su enseñanza en docentes en formación

All educational practices require the epistemological delimitation that allows the conceptual understanding and the analysis of its object of study. In the case of educational evaluation – a tool of great use within educational systems worldwide – the theoretical texts that frame its definition and task have left aside the analytical delimitation that underlies its definition and objectives in the educational frame. The current discussions about educational evaluation are strongly focused on their methodological and technical elements that support its activities, and, in some occasions, in the political implications of its use. Under this problem, the present manuscript highlights the need to establish an epistemological positioning of the educational evaluation. Through an analysis of the classical and contemporary theoretical texts of evaluation (particularly those of Spanish speaking) three issues arise of this practice: the concept of educational evaluation itself, the function of the educational evaluation on the delimitation of the educational must be, and the emphasis of this practice in the objectivity of its methods and the conceptualization of its objects of analysis. As a conclusion, the epistemological solidity of its definition is questioned, besides, the need to analyze the basis of the concept of evaluation as well as its goals is highlighted.

Aproximaciones epistemológicas de la evaluación educativa: entre el deber ser y lo relativo

The article deals with identifying and describing the main areas and questions of the research on intercultural education in the Spanish context. It focuses on reviewing the research that has been done during the last ten years in terms of stablishing the consensus about the main questions for the area. The article exposes some data of a more complete unpublished report. First of all, the article proposes a defi nition of intercultural education, its assumptions and objectives. Furthemore, we identify, describe and exemplify the areas and questions of research. The information shows the accumulated evidence about some main questions and it is relevant in order to make decisis about intercultural education implementation.

After a 					wide revision of the recent publications about the subject, 					the present situation of evaluation research is analysed as 					a strategic tool for the decision making of the development 					and improvement of society and citizens’ quality of life in 					varied sectors such as education, health, economy, culture, 					social protection, public policies, etc.  The scientific 					identity of the evaluation research is described and founded 					upon, stressing its transdisciplinary character, the rise of 					the evaluation of organizations and institutions, and the 					use of different methodologies and the importance of 					participative strategies. Also outlined is the utility and 					appropriate use of the evaluations as priority object of 					this kind of research, relying always on principles and 					ethical rules of scientific quality and on the corresponding 					meta-evaluative studies.

ResumenEn esta investigacion se analizan los patrones interactivos que surgen en el seno de los pequenos grupos de estudiantes, durante la resolucion colaborativa de una serie de tareas destinadas al aprendizaje de conceptos cientificos. El estudio se ha llevado a cabo con estudiantes de secundaria (15–16 anos). Se ha adoptado una perspectiva teorica socioculturaly una metodologia cualitativa.
