Robotics is at an infertile stage of technology that crosses usual engineering limitations. The understanding the difficulty of robots and their application need knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and mathematics. New engineering fields, such as manufacturing engineering become known to deal with the complexity of the robotics and factory automation. This paper will illustrate a number of of the industrial robotic arms in the world and will show the mechanism and the components of the robotic arm. One of the sections is going to show the classification of robotics in general to increase more understanding of robotics, such as actuators types, application area and method of control. Design issues to build a robotic arm will be shown such as mobility, connectivity, redundancy and the number of degree. The characteristics of the hybrid robotic arms structure and why there is a demand in the use of hybrid structures is discussed.

A review of application industrial robotic design

The objective of this paper is to minimize human casualties in terrorist attack such as 26/11. The combat robot [1] has been designed to tackle such a cruel terror attacks. This robot is radio operated, self- powered, and has all the controls like a normal car. A wireless camera has been installed on it, so that it can monitor enemy remotely when required. It can silently enter into enemy area and send us all the information through its’ tiny Camera eyes. This spy robot can be used in star hotels, shopping malls, jewellary show rooms, etc where there can be threat from intruders or terrorists. Since human life is always precious, these robots are the replacement of fighters against terrorist in war areas.

Using LEGO in control education

Human-machine interface can be considered as an essential element in robotic wheelchair control mode. The purpose of this project is to examine the functionality and efficiency of the manual control mode with the implementation of low cost RF Transmitter and Receiver modules for wireless transmission. A User's Controller Panel as well as a model of robotic wheelchair has been designed and developed to provide the testing of robotic wheelchair locomotion control via wireless data transfer. By using C programming algorithm, PIC16F877 has been used as the Microcontroller unit for robotic wheelchair while PIC16F88 as the Microcontroller unit for User's controller panel. Finally the proposed method on the implementation of wireless data transfer as well as the experimental setup also has been discussed. The results prove that low cost RF modules have the feasibility to be used for simple-one way wireless data transfer with the capability of transmitting several basic instructions to the robotic wheelchair.
