Assessing the diagnostic value of a potential screening tool for detecting early interstitial lung disease at the onset of inflammatory rheumatic diseases
Tobias Hoffmann,Peter Oelzner,Marcus Franz,Ulf Teichgräber,Diane M. Renz,Martin Förster,Joachim Böttcher,Claus Kroegel,P. Christian Schulze,Gunter Wolf,Alexander Pfeil +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the diagnostic value and utility of a stepwise approach as a potential ILD screening tool in patients with newly diagnosed inflammatory rheumatic diseases (IRD) and found that the combination of reduced diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO) < 80% showed a sensitivity of 83.6% and a specificity of 45.6%, respectively, in detecting ILD.
Distribution patterns of arterial affection and the influence of glucocorticoids on 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/CT in patients with giant cell arteritis
Leander Malich,Falk Gühne,Tobias Hoffmann,Ansgar Malich,Tobias Weise,Peter Oelzner,Gunter Wolf,Martin Freesmeyer,Alexander Pfeil +8 more
TL;DR: This study showed the frequent involvement of the thoracic aorta and brachiocephalic trunk in patients with GCA using PET/CT, and advocate screening imaging of the aortA withPET/CT when GCA is suspected.
Biomechanical properties following open wedge high tibial osteotomy: Plate fixator combined with dynamic locking screws versus standard locking screws
Steffen Schröter,Tobias Hoffmann,Stefan Döbele,Bastian Welke,Christof Hurschler,Michael Schwarze,Ulrich Stöckle,Thomas Freude,Atesch Ateschrang +8 more
TL;DR: Using dynamic locking screws in open wedge high tibial osteotomy increases interfragmental motion within the range of optimal bone healing, and reduced construct stability has to be considered.

Ab1374 interstitial lung disease in asymptomatic patients at the onset of inflammatory rheumatic diseases
Tobias Hoffmann,Peter Oelzner,Franciscus Engels Marcus,Matthias Förster,Ulf Teichgräber,Gunter Wolf,Alexander Pfeil +6 more
TL;DR: The study highlighted that also clinical asymptomatic patients have ILD in IRD at the onset of the IRD, and a reduced DLCO is detectable in PFT as a sign of early lung involvement, so this represents a potential screening parameter.
The relationship between structural analysis of the hand and clinical characteristics in psoriatic arthritis
Alexander Pfeil,Marcus Heinz,Tobias Hoffmann,Tobias Weise,Diane M. Renz,Marcus Franz,Ansgar Malich,Dominik Driesch,Peter Oelzner,Gunter Wolf,Joachim Böttcher +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors evaluated clinical features which potentially influence periarticular mineralization of the metacarpal bones and finger joint space distance (JSD) in patients with psoriatic arthritis.
