PIK3CA(H1047R) induces multipotency and multi-lineage mammary tumours.
Shany Koren,Linsey Reavie,Joana Pinto Couto,Duvini De Silva,Michael B. Stadler,Michael B. Stadler,Tim Roloff,Adrian Britschgi,Tobias Eichlisberger,Hubertus Kohler,Olulanu H. Aina,Robert D. Cardiff,Mohamed Bentires-Alj +12 more
TL;DR: It is shown that expression of PIK3CAH1047R in lineage-committed basal Lgr5-positive and luminal keratin-8-positive cells of the adult mouse mammary gland evokes cell dedifferentiation into a multipotent stem-like state, suggesting this to be a mechanism involved in the formation of heterogeneous, multi-lineage mammary tumours.

Adaptive disinhibitory gating by VIP interneurons permits associative learning.
Sabine Krabbe,Enrica Paradiso,Enrica Paradiso,Simon D’Aquin,Simon D’Aquin,Yael Bitterman,Julien Courtin,Chun Xu,Chun Xu,Keisuke Yonehara,Keisuke Yonehara,Milica Markovic,Milica Markovic,Christian Müller,Tobias Eichlisberger,Jan Gründemann,Jan Gründemann,Francesco Ferraguti,Andreas Lüthi,Andreas Lüthi +19 more
TL;DR: These findings indicate that VIP interneurons are a central component of a dynamic circuit motif that mediates adaptive disinhibitory gating to specifically learn about unexpected, salient events, thereby ensuring appropriate behavioral adaptations.
Microbiota-induced tissue signals regulate ILC3-mediated antigen presentation.
Frank M. Lehmann,Nicole von Burg,Nicole von Burg,Robert Ivanek,Robert Ivanek,Claudia Teufel,Edit Horvath,Annick Peter,Gleb Turchinovich,Daniel Staehli,Tobias Eichlisberger,Mercedes Gomez de Agüero,Mairene Coto-Llerena,Michaela Prchal-Murphy,Veronika Sexl,Mohamed Bentires-Alj,Christoph Mueller,Daniela Finke +17 more
TL;DR: It is shown that transcripts associated with MHC II antigen presentation are down-modulated in intestinal natural cytotoxicity receptor (NCR) − ILC3s, and this work elucidates how cytokines set context specificity of ILC-T cell crosstalk by regulating ILC antigen presentation.

State-dependent encoding of exploratory behaviour in the amygdala
Maria Sol Fustiñana,Tobias Eichlisberger,Tewis Bouwmeester,Yael Bitterman,Andreas Lüthi,Andreas Lüthi +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used deep-brain calcium imaging of mice engaged in spatial or social exploration to investigate how these processes are represented at the neuronal population level in the basolateral amygdala, which is a region of the brain that integrates emotional, social and metabolic information.

The NFIB-ERO1A axis promotes breast cancer metastatic colonization of disseminated tumour cells.
Federica Zilli,Federica Zilli,Pedro Marques Ramos,Pedro Marques Ramos,Priska Auf der Maur,Charly Jehanno,Atul Sethi,Atul Sethi,Atul Sethi,Marie-May Coissieux,Marie-May Coissieux,Tobias Eichlisberger,Loïc Sauteur,Adelin Rouchon,Laura Bonapace,Joana Pinto Couto,Joana Pinto Couto,Joana Pinto Couto,Roland Rad,Roland Rad,Michael Rugaard Jensen,Andrea Banfi,Michael B. Stadler,Michael B. Stadler,Mohamed Bentires-Alj,Mohamed Bentires-Alj +25 more
TL;DR: In this article, an inducible piggyBac transposon mutagenesis screen was used to show that NFIB alone is sufficient to enhance primary mammary tumour growth and lung metastatic colonization.
