Organometallic complexes with biological molecules: XII. Solid‐state and solution studies on dialkyltin(IV)– and trialkyltin(IV)–thiaminepyrophosphate derivatives
Tiziana Fiore,Claudia Pellerito,A. Fontana,Fabio Triolo,Francesco Maggio,Lorenzo Pellerito,A. Cestelli,I. Di Liegro +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the solid-state structure of the coenzyme thiamine pyrophosphate (H2TPP) derivatives through infrared and Mossbauer spectroscopy, and found that only phosphate oxygen atoms were involved in coordination of both dialkyl and trialkyl-tin(IV) moieties.

Diorganotin(IV) and triorganotin(IV) complexes of meso-tetra (4-sulfonatophenyl)porphine induce apoptosis in A375 human melanoma cells
Maria Assunta Costa,Lorenzo Pellerito,Vincenzo Izzo,Tiziana Fiore,Claudia Pellerito,Mario Melis,Maria Teresa Musmeci,Giovanna Barbieri +7 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that these two porphirin derivatives lead to the apoptosis of human melanoma cells via both death receptor-mediated and mitochondrial apoptotic pathways.

Studies on DNA interaction of organotin(IV) complexes of meso-tetra(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphine that show cellular activity
Sabriye Aydinoglu,Tarita Biver,Stefania Figuccia,Tiziana Fiore,Sonia Montanaro,Claudia Pellerito +5 more
TL;DR: Spectrophotometric and spectrofluorometric experiments showed that all the investigated organotin(IV) derivatives strongly interact with DNA, the binding energy depending on the dye steric hindrance and in all cases experimental data concur in indicating that external binding mode prevails.

Effects of two organotin(IV)(sulfonatophenyl)porphinates on MAPKs and on the growth of A375 human melanoma cells
Maria Assunta Costa,L. Gulino,Lorenzo Pellerito,Tiziana Fiore,Claudia Pellerito,Giovanna Barbieri +5 more
TL;DR: A fast concentration of (Bu2Sn)2TPPS and (Bu3Sn)4TPPS in the nucleus and in the nucleoli compared to TPPS is found, which suggests that the three MAP kinases are involved in the apoptotic death of A375-treated cells.
Tributyltin(IV) Butyrate: A Novel Epigenetic Modifier with ER Stress- and Apoptosis-Inducing Properties in Colon Cancer Cells.
TL;DR: In this article, triorganotin(IV) complexes of butyric acid, a well-known HDAC inhibitor with antitumor properties, were synthesized and characterised by FTIR spectroscopy, multi-nuclear (1H, 13C and 119Sn) NMR, and mass spectrometry (ESI-MS).
