Modeling Polymer Air Drawing in the Melt Blowing Nonwoven Process
Ting Chen,Xiubao Huang +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, an air drawing model of a polymer in a melt blowing process is presented and solved by introducing the numerical computation results of the air jet flow field of the dual slot die.

Fiber diameter of polybutylene terephthalate melt-blown nonwovens
Ting Chen,Li Liqing,Xiubao Huang +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, a polymer air-drawing model of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) melt-blown nonwovens has been established and the predicted fiber diameter coincides with the experimental data.

Simulation of the polymeric fluid flow in the feed distributor of melt blowing process
TL;DR: In this paper, the polymeric fluid flow in the feed distributor of melt blowing process is simulated using three-dimensional finite element method and numerical results are experimentally verified quantitatively and qualitatively using laser Doppler velocimetry.

Detecting Pills in Fabric Images Based on Multi-scale Matched Filtering
TL;DR: The detection of pills on a real image shows that this method can satisfy the recognition and segmentation of different size pills and is helpful for quantitatively describing the pilling information.

A soft computing approach to model the structure–property relations of nonwoven fabrics
TL;DR: The results show that the artificial neural network model yields accurate prediction and a reasonably good artificial Neural Network model can be achieved with relatively few data points by integrated with the input variable selecting method developed in this research.
