Image search using trained flexible shape models
TL;DR: A technique for building compact models of the shape and appearance of flexible objects seen in two-dimensional images derived from the statistics of sets of images of example objects with ‘landmark’ points labelled on each object is described.

Automatic learning sparse correspondences for initialising groupwise registration
Pei Zhang,Steve A. Adeshina,Timothy F. Cootes +2 more
- 20 Sep 2010
TL;DR: This paper shows that satisfactory initialisation for images of complex structures, especially those with many self-similar parts, can be found by a parts+geometry model, and uses a population based optimisation strategy to select the best parts from a large pool of candidates.
Dynamic image fusion performance evaluation
Vladimir Petrovic,Timothy F. Cootes,R. Pavlovic +2 more
- 09 Jul 2007
TL;DR: The proposed system is shown to exhibit better evaluation accuracy, robustness and sensitivity when compared to existing dynamic fusion metrics on an evaluation of several established image fusion algorithms applied to multi- sensor sequences from an array of dynamic fusion scenarios.

Automatic part selection for groupwise registration
Pei Zhang,Timothy F. Cootes +1 more
- 03 Jul 2011
TL;DR: This paper presents a more sophisticated method that uses the sparse matches of a parts+geometry model as the initialisation and shows that dense mesh models constructed during the groupwise registration process can be used to accurately annotate new images.
