Relations of Naturally Occurring Variations in State Anxiety and Cognitive Functioning.
TL;DR: Investigating the effects of within-person variations in state anxiety on cognitive performance based on measures from three separate sessions in a sample of 1,769 healthy adults found that one's average level of anxiety was a more important determinant of cognitive performance than one's current level of state anxiety.

Where in an Ordered Sequence of Variables Do Independent Age-Related Effects Occur?
TL;DR: A series of regression analyses was conducted to determine which variables in an ordered sequence had significant age-related effects after control of the immediately preceding variable in the sequence, finding a very large proportion of the age- related effects on later variables was found to be mediated through earlier variables in the sequences.
