Performance degradation of OFDM systems due to Doppler spreading
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that its truncated version of order 4 or 6 provides a very good approximation in the evaluation of the error probability for PSK and QAM in the presence of ICI.
Techniques for suppression of intercarrier interference in OFDM systems
Tiejun Wang,John G. Proakis,James R. Zeidler +2 more
- 13 Mar 2005
TL;DR: Simulation results of the system performance confirm the effectiveness of the new technique over the conventional OFDM receiver in suppressing ICI in OFDM systems and describe a MMSE based OFDM detection technique that reduces the degradation caused by ICI distortion.

Interference Analysis of Filtered Multitone Modulation Over Time-Varying Frequency- Selective Fading Channels
TL;DR: The interference caused by the channel frequency selectivity and time variance is quantified by analyzing the demodulated signals at the receiver under several different fading-channel conditions and the average carrier-to-interference (C/I) ratio of the FMT system is provided to demonstrate the underlying tradeoff between spectral efficiency and system performance.

Interference analysis of filtered multitone modulation over time-varying fading channels
Tiejun Wang,John G. Proakis,James R. Zeidler +2 more
- 01 Jan 2005
TL;DR: The interference caused by the time-frequency dispersive channel is quantified by analyzing the demodulated signals at the receiver under several different fading channels conditions and the average carrier to interference (C/I) ratio of the filtered multitone system is provided in order to demonstrate the underlying trade-off between spectral efficiency and system performance.

Evolution Properties of a Partially Coherent Twisted Laguerre-Gaussian Pulsed Beam Propagating through Anisotropic Atmospheric Turbulence
Ying Xu,Yonggen Xu,Tiejun Wang +2 more
TL;DR: In this article , the cross-spectral density matrix of a partially coherent twisted Laguerre-Gaussian pulsed (PCTLGP) beam in anisotropic atmospheric turbulence is derived based on the extended Huygens-Fresnel principle.
