The invention relates to a protection circuit arrangement (10) for protecting an electric circuit device (12) from the occurrence of faults of different fault types of a fault type group, which comprises the fault types: - offset voltages, in particular overvoltages, - short circuits, and - overcurrents, on a protection circuit arrangement (10) current path (14) via which the circuit device (12) is supplied with electric energy. At least one openable and closable switch (22, 24) is arranged in the current path (14) for selectively interrupting or releasing the current path (14), said switch being actuatable by means of control signals via a corresponding control input (26). The protection circuit arrangement (10) has means (16, 18, 20) for identifying the faults and for outputting corresponding control signals. The control signals for at least two of the fault types are formed from a standard control signal type, which is independent of the fault type, into control signals for outputting to the control input (26). The invention further relates to a corresponding method for protecting an electric circuit device (12) from the occurrence of faults and to a device (60), in particular a simulation, control, and/or regulating device comprising the circuit device (12) to be protected and the corresponding protection circuit arrangement (10). Die Erfindung sieht vor, dass die Leistungsbegrenzungs-Einheit (27) einen Spannungsdetektor (31, 32) zur Ermittlung einer Uberspannung und zur Ausgabe eines Schaltsignals beim Uberschreiten eines Schwellwertes der Uberspannung aufweist und in der Versorgungsleitung (22) zwischen der Energieversorgungs-Einheit (21) und der Spannungsverstarkungs-Einheit (25) ein mit dem Spannungsdetektor (31, 32) uber eine Abschaltleitung (29, 30) verbundenes Schaltelement (23, 24) angeordnet ist.

This circuit (2) for protecting an electric load (200) powered by a voltage generator (100) against reverse voltage and over-voltage comprises a first switch (4) piloted on the basis of a first voltage difference (V4) representative of a voltage difference (V100) between two output terminals (102, 104) of the voltage generator to selectively open and close a first electric line (L1) which extends between a first terminal (102) of the voltage generator and a first terminal (202) of the electric load. A second switch (8) is piloted on the basis of a second voltage difference (V8) to selectively open and close a second electric line (L2) which extends between a second terminal (104) of the voltage generator and a second terminal (204) of the electric load. A discrete electric component (16) is connected between the first electric line (L4) and a third electric line (L5) connected to the second electric line (L2), this discrete electric component being adapted to block a current (I5) going from the first line (L1) to the third electric line (L5) when the voltage difference (V100) between the two output terminals of the voltage generator is below a preset value and to allow this current (I5) to flow from the first electric line to the third electric line (L5) when the voltage difference is above the preset value. A third switch (12) is piloted to make the second voltage difference (V8) equal to zero when a current (I5) flows through the one way discrete electric component from the first electric line (L1) to the third electric line (L5).

The first connector of the switch is connected to the second input connector without the intermediate connection of a node and its second connector is connected at least indirectly to the second output connector. The circuit arrangement has a control arrangement (R1,R2,R3,D1,T3) that switches on the switch in normal operation to connect the first and second connectors of the switch together.
