Patent
Fmcw radar sensor
Thomas Walter,Herbert Olbrich,Dirk Steinbuch +2 more
- 11 Jun 2007
TL;DR: An FMCW radar sensor with a plurality of antenna elements and a supply circuit for supplying transmission signals having ramp-shaped modulated frequencies to the antenna elements, including a switchover device for switching over the supply circuit between a near field mode, in which the transmission signals supplied to the individual antenna elements have a certain frequency offset, and a far-field mode, where the frequencies of the transmissions are identical.

FMCW-Radarsensor für Kraftfahrzeuge
Armin Himmelstoss,Thomas Walter,Thomas Schneider,Joachim Hauk +3 more
- 17 Jun 2010
TL;DR: In this paper, a FMCW-Radarsensor is integrated into a Halbleiterbaustein (HB) in einen einzigen Halblinken (12) integriert sind, der auserdem eine Uberwachungseinrichtung (62) und Register (44) zur Konfiguration and Uber-Wachung der Komponenten des Halblblinkens, sowie eine Schnittstelle (52) zum Prozessor aufweist.

Integrated Vehicle Dynamics Control - an optimized approach for linking multiple chassis actuators
Lars König,Thomas Walter,Benjamin Gutmayer,Dominik Merlein +3 more
- 01 Jan 2014
TL;DR: In this paper, an innovative approach to networking chassis domain actuators (e.g. rear wheel steering, wheel individual electric drives, active differentials etc.) is presented. And a new calibration strategy based on four essential, intuitive driving properties is presented, which reduces the side slip angle during an aggressive lane change maneuver.

Method for adjusting a resonator in an oscillator
Thomas Walter,Tore Toennesen,Gilbert Moersch +2 more
- 17 Apr 2002
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for adjusting a resonator in an oscillator is described, which is characterized in that a dielectric serving as the resonator is eroded in a targeted manner by laser pulses until a target frequency is attained.

FMCW radar sensor for motor vehicles
Armin Himmelstoss,Thomas Walter,Thomas Schneider,Joachim Hauk +3 more
- 20 Oct 2009
TL;DR: An FMCW radar sensor for motor vehicles, having a high frequency part for generating, transmitting and receiving radar signals, a modulation device for controlling the frequency modulation of the transmitted radar signal, at least one analog preprocessing stage for an intermediate frequency signal formed from the received radar signal as mentioned in this paper, and a processor for controlled the modulation device and for further processing the digital signals of the analog/digital transducer stage.
