Species Diversity, Phylogeny and Large Scale Biogeographic Patterns of the Genus Padina (Phaeophyceae, Dictyotales)
Thomas Silberfeld,Lucie Bittner,Cindy Fernández-García,Corinne Cruaud,Florence Rousseau,Bruno de Reviers,Frederik Leliaert,Claude Payri,Olivier De Clerck +8 more
TL;DR: The brown algal genus Padina (Dictyotales, Phaeophyceae) is distributed worldwide in tropical and temperate seas and its distribution ranges are largely unknown as mentioned in this paper.
Systematics and evolutionary history of pyrenoid bearing taxa in brown algae (Phaeophyceae)
Thomas Silberfeld,Marie-Fanny Racault,Robert L. Fletcher,Arnaud Couloux,Florence Rousseau,Bruno de Reviers +5 more
TL;DR: A seven-locus dataset for a species-rich taxon sampling is generated, to reassess phylogenetic relationships of pyrenoid-bearing brown algal taxa and shed light on the evolution of plastid morphology and arrangement in brown algae.

An Updated Classification of Brown Algae (Ochrophyta, Phaeophyceae) Algologie
Thomas Silberfeld,Florence Rousseau,Bruno de Reviers +2 more
- 01 Jan 2014
TL;DR: In this article, the generic and suprageneric classification of the Phaeophyceae was updated by taking into account the latest insights produced in the field of brown algal molecular systematics.

An Updated Classification of Brown Algae (Ochrophyta, Phaeophyceae)
TL;DR: The generic and suprageneric classification of the Phaeophyceae is updated, by taking into account the latest insights produced in the field of brown algal molecular systematics, to provide a clarified taxonomic framework whose uncertainties would result only from absence of molecular data or phylogenetic irresolution rather than taxonomic vagueness due to misinterpretation of morphological characters.

Embryonic development of the tropical bivalve Tivela mactroides (Born, 1778) (Veneridae: subfamily Meretricinae) : a SEM study
Olivier Gros,Thomas Silberfeld +1 more
TL;DR: Obs observations semblent confirmer le modele de differentiation of the coquille propose par Moueza et al. (2006) pour les bivalves, cependant des observations en microscopie electronique seraient necessaires pour valider definitivement un tel modele dans the sous-famille des Meretricinae.
