High-excitation lines of molecular hydrogen: A discriminant between shock models
Michael G. Burton,Peter W. J. L. Brand,A. Moorhouse,Thomas R. Geballe +3 more
- 01 Sep 1989
TL;DR: In this article, column densities of molecular hydrogen, calculated from nineteen infrared line intensities, were measured at peak 1 of the outflow of the Orion molecular cloud OMC-1.

Ground-based detection of water in Comet Halley
R. F. Knacke,Keith S. Noll,Timothy Y. Brooke,Thomas R. Geballe,Alan T. Tokunaga +4 more
- 01 Dec 1986
TL;DR: Based on the upsilon 1 + up-silon 3 band intensity, the mass loss rate is 2 times 10 to the 29th power molecules/sec (with an uncertainty of a factor of 2) on 29 Oct. 1985.

Analysis of the first infrared spectrum of quasi-bound H2 line emission in Herbig-Haro 7
Evelyne Roueff,Michael G. Burton,Thomas R. Geballe,Hervé Abgrall +3 more
- 01 Jan 2023
TL;DR: In this article , a recently published K-band spectrum of Herbig-Haro 7 (HH7) contains several vibration-rotation lines of H2 from highly excited energy levels that have not been detected elsewhere, including a line at 2.179 μm.
