- 01 Dec 2004
TL;DR: In this paper, an unprecedented infrared time series of spectra of V1187 Sco, a very fast ONeMg nova, was reported, covering a 56-day period starting 2 days after the nova's peak brightness.

TL;DR: In this paper, near-IR and optical observations of Type Ic supernova (SN Ic) SN 2020oi in the galaxy M100 and the broad-lined SN Ic SN 2020bvc in UGC 9379, using Gemini, Las Cumbres Observatory, Southern Astrophysical Telescope, and other ground-based telescopes.
Interaction between the Northeastern Boundary of Sgr A East and Giant Molecular Clouds
Sungho Lee,Soojong Pak,Christopher J. Davis,Robeson M. Herrnstein,Thomas R. Geballe,Paul T. P. Ho,J. Craig Wheeler +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have detected the v=1-0 S(1) (2.1218 um) and v=2-1 S (1)(2.2477 um) lines of H_2 in the Galactic centre, in a 90 x 27 arcsec region between the northeastern boundary of the nonthermal source, Sgr A East, and the giant molecular cloud (GMC) M-0.07.

The Infrared Evolution of Sakurai's Object
TL;DR: A cooling, carbon-rich photospheric spectrum was observable from 1996 to 1998 and a strong and broad helium 1.083 $\mu$m P Cygni line developed, signifying the acceleration of an outer envelope of material to speeds as high as 1000 km s$^{-1}$ at the same time the photosphere of the central star remained quiescent as discussed by the authors.

Infrared spectroscopy of carbon monoxide in V838 Mon during 2002--2006
TL;DR: In this article, the authors report spectra of the overtone and fundamental bands of CO in the eruptive variable V838 Mon, which trace the recent evolution of the star and allow its ejecta to be characterized.
