Importance and Capability of Teaching Agricultural Mechanics as Perceived by Secondary Agricultural Educators.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the agricultural mechanics in-service needs of secondary agricultural educators in Iowa and found that the areas of highest perceived importance were welding safety, construction and shop safety, and shielded metal arc welding, while instructors rated themselves least prepared to teach computer aided design, profile leveling, and hot metal work.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe potential relationships between the quantity of agricultural mechanics training and skills received at the secondary and at the post-secondary levels, and find statistically significant, positive correlations were found in each of the skill areas.
