Between a movable core chamber and a fuel supply passage, a needle guide slidably supports a needle fixed to a movable core. The needle guide has a communication hole which fluidly connects the movable core chamber and the fuel supply passage. An opening sectional area of the communication hole is defined in such a manner that a fuel discharged amount decreases as an energization start time of a coil is delayed. In a suction stroke, it is restricted that the movable core and the needle bounce toward the fixed core after the needle biases a suction valve toward a stopper by means of a biasing force of a second spring. A relationship between the energization start time of the coil and the fuel discharged amount is properly maintained, so that the fuel discharged amount of the high-pressure pump can be controlled correctly.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply system in which even only one plunger is provided in a high-pressure fuel pump, a fuel-pressure in an accumulator is inhibited from decreasing to enable stable fuel injection from each injector. SOLUTION: The fuel supply system 1 supplies fuel to four injectors 2a-2d provided in an engine. The fuel supply system 1 is provided with first to fourth accumulator parts 3a-3d joined in series for sequential high-pressure fuel supply by the high-pressure fuel pump 5. The order of connection of the first to fourth accumulator parts 3a-3d follows the injection order from #1 injector 2a to #4 injector 2d; the first accumulator part 3a is located most upstream, the third accumulator part 3c comes downstream of the first accumulator part 3a, then, the fourth accumulator part 3d is placed next. The second accumulator part 3b is provided in the most downstream part. The valve has a housing (1) provided with a length-adjustable nozzle needle (8) for opening and closing an injection port (16) with a nozzle seat (15). The nozzle needle with the nozzle seat is turned away from a surface (108) of the housing. A control chamber (10) is filled with fuel under high pressure and provided with a control valve (22) and a low pressure chamber (18). An end of a pressure pin (33) is provided in the control chamber, which cooperates with a surface of a force sensor (35). A control valve link (28) is formed in sleeve-shape and surrounds the pressure pin.

A leak recovery groove is formed in a slide clearance between a slidable surface of a cylinder body and a slidable surface of a plunger to recover leaked fuel, which is leaked from a pressurizing chamber. A leak recovery groove direct communication passage is branched from a supply passage, which supplies fuel to the pressurizing chamber, and is connected to the leak recovery groove without passing through the pressurizing chamber to supply the fuel from the supply passage to the leak recovery groove.

A cylinder body includes a cylinder hole and a discharge flow passage. The cylinder hole receives a plunger and forms a pressurizing chamber in one axial end portion thereof. The discharge flow passage is connected to the pressurizing chamber and is adapted to guide and discharge the pressurized fuel from the pressurizing chamber to an outside of the housing. A connection opening of the discharge flow passage is formed in a hole wall of the cylinder hole. A pressure is applied to a predetermined prestressing subject area in the hole wall of the cylinder hole and a passage wall of the discharge flow passage through autofrettage to generate a residual compression stress in the predetermined prestressing subject area and thereby to form a prestressed area of a final product. The prestressing subject area includes an inner peripheral edge of the connection opening.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembly performance and work performance in a driving force transmitting device for transmitting driving force between two pistons through a displacement transmission chamber. SOLUTION: A valve element 73 displaced from a front direction of an inlet 39a and having an outer peripheral part seated as a seat 391 is arranged as a valve element of a valve means 1e having a valve chamber 39 having the inlet 39a to which working fluid supplied to the displacement transmission chamber 36 flows, an outlet 721 communicating with the displacement transmission chamber 36 is opened on a chamber wall surface confronting a chamber wall surface to which the inlet 39a is opened while having the valve element 73 therebetween, a flowing direction of the working fluid in the valve chamber 39 is almost coincident with the displacement direction of the valve element 73, and a spring for maintaining valve opening and valve closing state can be dispensed with. Shortening of a stroke of the valve element 73 can be achieved, and positional variation of the valve element 73 caused by pressure pulsation transmitted through a supply passage 38 can be reduced. The energizing force to the valve closing direction does not always act, and thereby air venting in assembly in an initial stage can be facilitated.
