Novel rate control strategy with landiolol in patients with cardiac dysfunction and atrial fibrillation
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that landiolol was more effective to control tachycardia than digoxin in atrial fibrillation patients with left ventricular dysfunction in 2013, and the revised Japanese heart failure guideline recommends landioll for rate control during atrialfibrillation in acute heart failure patients as Class IIa with evidence level B.
Therapeutic Strategy for Gastrointestinal Bleeding in Patients With Left Ventricular Assist Device
TL;DR: The therapeutic strategy for gastrointestinal bleeding in LVAD patients is updated and several therapeutic tools have been proposed: octreotide, thalidomide, hemodynamic optimization by the ramp test, and fish oil therapy.

- 10 Jun 2021
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors performed a retrospective study on patients who received esaxerenone for resistant hypertension between November 2019 and June 2020 and found that the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) decreased significantly during the pre-treatment period (from 66.6 to 59.5 mL/min/1.73 m2; P=0.003), whereas eGFR was unchanged during the treatment period.
A Useful Scoring System For Predicting Right Ventricular Assist Device Requirement Among Patients with a Paracorporeal Left Ventricular Assist Device.
Daisuke Nitta,Koichiro Kinugawa,Teruhiko Imamura,Eisuke Amiya,Masaru Hatano,Osamu Kinoshita,Kan Nawata,Minoru Ono,Issei Komuro +8 more
TL;DR: RVAD requirement is associated with poor long-term survival, and this simple scoring system using PVR and mean RAP/mean PAWP may be useful for predicting RVAD requirement in such patients.

Kota Kakeshita,Hidenori Yamazaki,Teruhiko Imamura,Takayuki Ando,Shiori Kobayashi,Hayato Fujioka,Tsutomu Koike,Akira Shimizu,Koichiro Kinugawa +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a 72-year-old man with advanced gastric cancer, poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, receiving chemotherapy with S-1 (tegafur, gimeracil, and oteracil potassium) plus oxaliplatin was diagnosed as nephrotic syndrome with microscopic hematuria.
