Mutually-paced Knowledge Distillation for Cross-lingual Temporal Knowledge Graph Reasoning
Ruijie Wang,Zheng Li,Jingfeng Yang,Tianyu Cao,Chao Zhang,Bing Yin,Tarek Abdelzaher +6 more
- 27 Mar 2023
TL;DR: In this paper , a mutually-paced knowledge distillation model MP-KD is proposed for cross-lingual temporal knowledge graph reasoning problem, which aims to facilitate reasoning on Temporal Knowledge Graph (TKGs) in low-resource languages by transfering knowledge from TKGs in high-resource ones.
Misinformation Detection and Adversarial Attack Cost Analysis in Directional Social Networks
Huajie Shao,Shuochao Yao,Andong Jing,Shengzhong Liu,Dongxin Liu,Tianshi Wang,Jinyang Li,Chaoqi Yang,Ruijie Wang,Tarek Abdelzaher +9 more
- 01 Aug 2020
TL;DR: Evaluation results on Twitter data sets demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms state-of-the-art baselines in detecting accounts created for information manipulation campaigns and the cost of adversarial attacks on the detection model is high.

RDeepSense: Reliable Deep Mobile Computing Models with Uncertainty Estimations
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed RDeepSense, a deep learning model that provides well-calibrated uncertainty estimations for resource-constrained mobile and embedded devices, which enables the predictive uncertainty by adopting a tunable proper scoring rule as the training criterion and dropout as the implicit Bayesian approximation.

Budgeted generalized rate monotonic analysis for the partitioned, yet globally scheduled uniprocessor model
Jung-Eun Kim,Tarek Abdelzaher,Lui Sha +2 more
- 13 Apr 2015
TL;DR: This paper solves the challenge of offline response time analysis of independent periodic tasks with constrained deadlines early in the software development cycle, under generalized rate-monotonic scheduling and outperforms, in terms of schedulability, both global utilization bounds and mechanisms that attain temporal modularity via resource partitioning.

On Exploiting Logical Dependencies for Minimizing Additive Cost Metrics in Resource-Limited Crowdsensing
Shaohan Hu,Shen Li,Shuochao Yao,Lu Su,Ramesh Govindan,Reginald L. Hobbs,Tarek Abdelzaher +6 more
- 10 Jun 2015
TL;DR: This paper develops data retrieval algorithms for crowd-sensing applications that reduce the underlying network bandwidth consumption or any additive cost metric by exploiting logical dependencies among data items, while maintaining the level of service to the client applications.
