Ultra-High Sensitive Quasi-Distributed Acoustic Sensor Based on Coherent OTDR and Cylindrical Transducer
TL;DR: In this article, an ultra high sensitive quasi-distributed acoustic sensor based on coherent detection and cylindrical transducer is proposed and demonstrated, which integrates a series of high-sensitive sensing units in a single fiber.

Diaphragm-based optical fiber sensor array for multipoint acoustic detection
TL;DR: This is the first time to theoretically demonstrate large-scale acoustic sensor array for diaphragm based fiber sensor by phase detection for time division multiplex (TDM), and the proposed sensor array is promising in sound source localization.

Real-time access to the coexistence of soliton singlets and molecules in an all-fiber laser
Yiyang Luo,Yang Xiang,Tao Liu,Bowen Liu,Ran Xia,Zhijun Yan,Xiahui Tang,Deming Liu,Qizhen Sun,Perry Ping Shum +9 more
TL;DR: It is identified that soliton singlets and soliton molecules coexist in one cavity roundtrip with different assembling forms and varieties of internal motions, including the diverging/oscillating phase evolution and the temporal separation vibration, are validated loosely bound intra-soliton molecules.

High resolution and large sensing range liquid level measurement using phase-sensitive optic distributed sensor.
TL;DR: A distributed optical fiber liquid level sensor is proposed and demonstrated based on phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry (φ-OTDR), which can detect the liquid level with a large measurement range by interrogating the phase information along the fiber due to the temperature difference between the liquid and air.
