Associations between Neighborhood Open Space Features and Walking and Social Interaction in Older Adults-A Mixed Methods Study.
TL;DR: Investigating the association between built environment features, social interaction, and walking within NOS, among older adults living in a low socio-economic neighborhood in Copenhagen finds social interaction was negatively associated with walking, suggesting that older adults tend to sit down when engaging in social activities.

TL;DR: The International Physical Activity and Environment Study of Adolescents (IPEN Adolescent) as mentioned in this paper was the first study to estimate the strength, shape and generalisability of associations of the community environment (geographic information systems (GIS)-based and self-reported) with physical activity and sedentary behaviour (accelerometer-measured and selfreported) and weight status (normal/overweight/obese).
