Tumoricidal activity of TLR7/8-activated inflammatory dendritic cells
TL;DR: It is suggested that mDCs and pDCs are directly involved in the IMQ-induced destruction of BCC lesions, and a new facet to the functional spectrum of DCs is added, ascribing to them a major role not only in the initiation but also in the effector phase of the immune response.

The PKC inhibitor AEB071 may be a therapeutic option for psoriasis
Hans Skvara,Markus Dawid,Elise Kleyn,Barbara Wolff,Josef G. Meingassner,Hilary Knight,Thomas Dumortier,Tamara Kopp,Nasanin Fallahi,Georg Stary,Christoph Burkhart,Olivier Grenet,Juergen Wagner,Youssef Hijazi,Randall E. Morris,Claire McGeown,Christiane Rordorf,Christopher E.M. Griffiths,Georg Stingl,Thomas Jung +19 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the PKC inhibitor AEB071 both abolishes the production of several cytokines by activated human T cells, keratinocytes, and macrophages in vitro and inhibits an acute allergic contact dermatitis response in rats, and that AEB 071 warrants long-term studies to establish safety and efficacy.

CCL18 Is Expressed in Atopic Dermatitis and Mediates Skin Homing of Human Memory T Cells
Claudia Günther,Concha Bello-Fernandez,Tamara Kopp,Julia Kund,Nicole Carballido-Perrig,Sonja Hinteregger,Sandra Fassl,Christoph Schwärzler,Günther Lametschwandtner,Georg Stingl,Tilo Biedermann,José M. Carballido +11 more
TL;DR: This study describes that CCL18 is present in skin biopsies of atopic dermatitis (AD) patients but not in normal or psoriatic skin and reveals a novel function of this chemokine mediating skin homing of a subpopulation of human memory T cells.

Sphingosine 1-phosphate phosphatase 2 is induced during inflammatory responses.
Diana Mechtcheriakova,Alexander Wlachos,Jury Sobanov,Tamara Kopp,Roland Reuschel,Frédéric Bornancin,Richard Cai,Barbara Zemann,Nicole Urtz,Georg Stingl,Gerhard J. Zlabinger,Maximilian Woisetschläger,Thomas Baumruker,Andreas Billich +13 more
TL;DR: Detailed insights are provided into the regulation of SPP2 gene expression and it is suggested thatSPP2 might be a novel player in pro-inflammatory signalling.

The performance of a component-based allergen-microarray in clinical practice.
Stefan Wöhrl,K. Vigl,Sonja Zehetmayer,R. Hiller,Reinhart Jarisch,M. Prinz,Georg Stingl,Tamara Kopp +7 more
TL;DR: Background: Currently, the diagnosis of IgE‐mediated allergy is based on allergen‐specific history and diagnostic procedures using natural allergenic extracts for in vivo and in vitro tests.
