TL;DR: 4 cases of lactic acidosis found in patients with gastrointestinal cancer, who were being given total parenteral nutrition (TPN), are reported, considered that in patients who are being treated with chemotherapy, and who were exhausted after having undergone major surgery, TPN should be performed carefully to avoid lactic Acidosis.
