High-resolution NMR probe
Kiyonori Takegoshi,Takashi Mizuno +1 more
- 19 Jun 2009
TL;DR: In this article, a high-resolution NMR probe is offered which is simple in structure and can be fabricated at low cost, and the inside of the probe is maintained in a vacuum to adiabatically isolate the inside from the outside.

Habitat divergence in sympatric Fagaceae tree species of a tropical montane forest in northern Thailand
Hideyuki Noguchi,Akira Itoh,Takashi Mizuno,Kriangsak Sri-ngernyuang,Mamoru Kanzaki,Sakhan Teejuntuk,Witchaphart Sungpalee,Masatoshi Hara,Tatsuhiro Ohkubo,Pongsak Sahunalu,Pricha Dhanmmanonda,Takuo Yamakura +11 more
TL;DR: In this study, the habitat specialization and habitat divergence along topographic gradients of eight sympatric tree species of the Fagaceae were studied in a 15-ha study plot in a tropical lower montane forest in northern Thailand and could not completely explain the coexistence of the eight species.

Development of a cryogenic duplexer for solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance
TL;DR: A cryogenic duplexer that can work below 50 K using GaAs diodes and rf-microelectrical mechanical systems switches is developed and it is shown that signal-to-noise ratio gain of 4.0 times can be achieved for (1)H MAS-NMR by lowering the detection-coil temperature to 12 K and the temperatures for the rf preamplifier and the Duplexer to 43 K.

2H Natural-abundance MAS NMR spectroscopy: an alternative approach to obtain 1H chemical shifts in solids.
Takashi Mizuno,Takahiro Nemoto,Masataka Tansho,Tadashi Shimizu,Hiroki Ishii,Kiyonori Takegoshi +5 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the sensitivity can be enhanced by applying (1)H to (2)H cross polarization and by adding spinning-sideband spectra and that these make it possible to obtain ( 2)H natural-abundance MAS spectra revealing highly resolved (2]H signals.

Method and Apparatus for Accurately Adjusting Magic Angle in NMR
Kiyonori Takegoshi,Takashi Mizuno +1 more
- 20 Sep 2010
TL;DR: In this paper, the magic angle is adjusted by controlling the currents flowing through the uniform magnetic field coil assembly, and the vector sum of the external field B 0 and the uniform field H is used to determine a new external magnetic field B0′.
