Detection of the low density lipoprotein receptor gene PvuII intron 15 polymorphism using the polymerase chain reaction: association with plasma lipid traits in healthy men and women.
Vilmundur Gudnason,T. Zhou,K. Thormar,S. Baehring,Jackie A. Cooper,G. J. Miller,S.E. Humphries,H. Schuster +7 more
TL;DR: The association between this allele and lower levels of plasma lipid levels previously reported is confirmed and the availability of a PCR-based method to detect this polymorphism will facilitate further investigation of the impact of LDL-receptor gene variation in determining lipid levels.
Inflammatory markers and the risk of idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss: A Mendelian randomization study
T. Zhou,Mengjiao Chen,Ziyi Yuan,Zhi-bo Xia,Shu-Ren Zhang,Ziheng Zhang,Huanqi Chen,Renyu Lin +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors extracted single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with C-reactive protein (CRP), Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and fibrinogen from abstract data from the European Individual Large genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and assessed the possible causal effect between several genetically predicted inflammatory markers and idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSHL) by Mendelian random (MR) analysis.
Relationships Between Serum Lipoprotein (a) And Sarcopenia In Elderly
Lingfei Xu,Ling-shan Zhou,Qian Xiao,Jinliang Chen,Cheng Luo,Qiong Lyu,Yuxing Zhao,Yue Sun,T. Zhou,Kexiang Zhao +9 more
- 13 Jan 2022
TL;DR: It is shown that sarcopenia appeared to be significantly associated with Lp(a) no matter the subjects had obesity or not, and sarc Openia was positively associated with LP(a).
