TL;DR: The effects of eicosapentaenoic (EPA), an omega‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acid, on INa and metastatic functions (cell proliferation, endocytosis and invasion) in human and rat prostate cancer cell lines are investigated.

Resistance exercise combined with KAATSU during simulated weightlessness
Nami Kubota,Nami Kubota,Haruhito Takano,T Tsutsumi,Miwa Kurano,Haruko Iida,Tomohiro Yasuda,Kentaro Meguro,Toshihiro Morita,Yoshiaki Sato,S. Kawashima,Y. Yamazaki,Hiroshi Ohshima,Shoichi Tachibana,Naokata Ishii,Takashi Abe,Toshiaki Nakajima +16 more
TL;DR: These hemodynamic and neurohumoral responses following head-down tilt and during RE closely approximate the gravity-specific stress observed with LBNP, suggesting that KAATSU may be a useful countermeasure in microgravity.

TL;DR: Treatment with EPA inhibited INa directly and also indirectly, by down-regulation of Nav mRNA expression in prostate cancer cells, thus inhibiting their metastatic potential.
