Materials for global carbon dioxide recycling
Koji Hashimoto,Michiaki Yamasaki,Shinsaku Meguro,T. Sasaki,H. Katagiri,K. Izumiya,N. Kumagai,Hiroki Habazaki,Eiji Akiyama,K. Asami +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a Ni supported ZrO2-type oxide catalysts for very rapid carbon dioxide methanation at ambient pressure with almost 100% methane selectivity was presented.

Electrodeposited Ni‐Fe‐C Cathodes for Hydrogen Evolution
Shinsaku Meguro,T. Sasaki,H. Katagiri,Hiroki Habazaki,Asahi Kawashima,Sakaki Takashi,K. Asami,Koji Hashimoto +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that carbon addition to iron or nickel remarkably enhances the activity for hydrogen evolution and changes the mechanism of hydrogen evolution, and the Tafel slope is about 33 mV/dec, suggesting the rate determining step of desorption of adsorbed hydrogen by recombination.

Nanocrystalline electrodeposited Ni–Mo–C cathodes for hydrogen production
TL;DR: In this paper, the Ni-Mo-C alloys were adapted for hydrogen evolution in a hot concentrated hydroxide solution by electrodeposition, and it was shown that carbon addition to NiMo alloys decreased the nanocrystalline grain size and remarkably enhanced the hydrogen evolution, changing the mechanism of hydrogen evolution.

Advanced materials for global carbon dioxide recycling
Koji Hashimoto,Hiroki Habazaki,Michiaki Yamasaki,Shinsaku Meguro,T. Sasaki,H. Katagiri,T Matsui,K. Fujimura,K. Izumiya,N. Kumagai,Eiji Akiyama +10 more
TL;DR: A prototype CO 2 recycling plant to supply clean energy preventing global warming has been built on the roof of our Institute (IMR) in 1996 using these key materials and has been operating successfully as mentioned in this paper.
