Intracellular Ca2+ requirement for activation of the Na+/H+ exchanger in vascular smooth muscle cells
T Mitsuhashi,Harlan E. Ives +1 more
TL;DR: Altered [Ca2+]i does not itself affect Na+/H+ exchange activity in vascular smooth muscle but instead modulates activation of the transporter by particular stimuli.

Agonistic activities of histamine-albumin conjugates at histamine H2 receptors on human HL-60 promyelocytic leukemia cells.
TL;DR: The data suggest that histamine-albumin conjugates not only activate H2 receptors but also bind to HL-60 cells nonspecifically or in an H2 receptor-unrelated manner.

Multiple signaling pathways of histamine H2 receptors. Identification of an H2 receptor-dependent Ca2+ mobilization pathway in human HL-60 promyelocytic leukemia cells.
TL;DR: H2 receptors on HL-60 cells are coupled to two different cholera toxin-sensitive G-proteins and activate adenylate cyclase and phospholipase C simultaneously and suggest that H2 receptor mediated [Ca2+]i mobilization is due to the release of Ca2+ from intracellular stores.
