Grid Scheduling using 2-Phase Prediction (2PP) of CPU Power
Said Elnaffar,T. Katayama,Ho Tu Bao +2 more
- 01 Nov 2006
TL;DR: A new strategy, called 2-phase prediction (2PP) for CPU power, is presented and a new dynamic scheduling algorithm suitable for non-dedicated environment is developed, which is superior to the UMR as the former is able to adapt to the dynamicity of grid workers.
A Scheduling Method for Divisible Workload Problem in Grid Environments
Said Elnaffar,T. Katayama,Ho Tu Bao +2 more
- 05 Dec 2005
TL;DR: This work proposes a dynamic scheduling methodology that takes into account the three prominent aspects of Grids: heterogeneity, dynamicity, and uncertainty, and introduces a dynamic, multi-round scheduling algorithm.
