Various divertor biasing configurations and improved divertor performance with biasing on Tokamak de Varennes (TdeV)
R. Décoste,J.-L. Lachambre,G. Abel,A. Boileau,C. Boucher,A. Côté,T. Fall,J.-L. Gauvreau,B.C. Gregory,E. Haddad,C. Janicki,C. Liu-Hinz,H. H. Mai,François Martin,D. Michaud,N. Richard,G.G. Ross,A. Sarkissian,Barry L. Stansfield,B. Terreault,W. Zuzak +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a radial electric field Er in the scrape-off layer (SOL) is produced with a particular divertor plate geometry, causing a nonambipolar radial current and a particle flow in the Er×BT direction, toward one of the diverors (the active divertor).

Measured plasma parameters in TdeV's closed poloidal divertors
TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured flow reversal near the separatrix in the bottom divertor when the ion ∇ B drift is directed away from the X -point, and showed that under negative biasing there is a strong increase of the electron density in the active divertor, the one favored by the E × B flow.

Divertor plate biasing effects on particle recycling and power loss distribution in TdeV during lower hybrid current drive and heating experiments
A. Sarkissian,T. Fall,J. P. Gunn,J. Mailloux,N. Richard,B.L. Stansfield,B. Terreault,C. Boucher,A. Côté,R. Décoste,Y. Demers,J.-L. Lachambre,W. Zhang,W.W. Zuzak +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of negative biasing of the divertor plates on particle recycling and on power loss distribution in single null discharges of TdeV during lower hybrid (LH) current drive and heating experiments is presented.

Characterization and control of the power loss and its distribution in TdeV during divertor plate biasing experiments
A. Sarkissian,T. Fall,Richard Marchand,N. Richard,J. Mailloux,R. Décoste,B.C. Gregory,Barry L. Stansfield,B. Terreault,W. Zuzak,C. Boucher,A. Côté,J. P. Gunn,H.Y. Guo,J.-L. Lachambre,F. Meo +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a double null magnetic configuration was used to control the particle and power flux distributions between the upper and lower divertor plates in TdeV, using biasing of the divertor plate with respect to the walls.
2
Study of power load on TdeV divertor plates with an infrared camera
TL;DR: In this article, an IR camera has been installed on TdeV (Tokamak de Varennes) to view both the inner and the outer divertor plates, and the energy deposited on the plates is calculated from the surface temperature profile measured by the IR camera.
