TL;DR: In this article, a reaccelerated radioactive beam of 24Ne was used to study the (d,p) reaction in inverse kinematics and the unusual raising of the first 3/2+ level in 25Ne and its significance in terms of the migration of the neutron magic number from N=20 to N=16 is put on a firm footing by confirmation of this state's identity.
Nucleon transfer via (d,p) using TIARA with a 24Ne radioactive beam
W. N. Catford,C. N. Timis,Roy Crawford Lemmon,M. Labiche,N. A. Orr,Luis Caballero,R. Chapman,Martin Freer,Marielle Chartier,H. Savajols,M. Rejmund,N. Amzal,N. I. Ashwood,T. D. Baldwin,M. Burns,N. Curtis,W. Gelletly,X. Liang,Steven Pain,Steven Pain,V. P. E. Pucknell,B. Rubio,O. Sorlin,K. M. Spohr,C. Thiesen,D. D. Warner +25 more
TL;DR: The first physics results measured using the TIARA array are reported in this paper, where the reaction 24Ne(d,p)25Ne has been studied in inverse kinematics with a radioactive beam of 24Ne provided by SPIRAL at GANIL.

TL;DR: In this article, the first results obtained from the study of the 24Ne(d, p)25Ne reaction performed with SPIRAL beam at GANIL using the new TIARA+V AMOS+EXOGAM setup were reported.

Tad Brown,P. Papka,B. R. Fulton,D. L. Watson,S. P. Fox,D. Groombridge,Martin Freer,N. M. Clarke,N. I. Ashwood,Nigel Curtis,Ziman,P. McEwan,Shenaz Ahmed,W. N. Catford,D. Mahboub,C. N. Timis,T. D. Baldwin,David Weisser +17 more
- 01 Nov 2007
TL;DR: In this article, an experiment was performed to study the 9Be(6Li,6Li)9Be∗ → α + α + n reaction and the results indicated that the population of states in 9Be from 1.68 to 11.28 MeV can be identified.
