Insights into Populus XIP aquaporins: evolutionary expansion, protein functionality, and environmental regulation
David Lopez,Gisèle Bronner,Nicole Brunel,Nicole Brunel,Daniel Auguin,Daniel Auguin,Sylvain Bourgerie,Sylvain Bourgerie,Franck Brignolas,Franck Brignolas,Sabine Carpin,Sabine Carpin,Colette Tournaire-Roux,Christophe Maurel,Boris Fumanal,Boris Fumanal,Francis Martin,Soulaiman Sakr,Philippe Label,Jean-Louis Julien,Jean-Louis Julien,Aurélie Gousset-Dupont,Aurélie Gousset-Dupont,Jean-Stéphane Venisse,Jean-Stéphane Venisse +24 more
TL;DR: A systematic fine-scale analysis of XIP sequences found in flowering plant databases revealed that XIPs are found in at least five groups, and an original pattern of evolution for the XIP subfamily through distinct angiosperm taxon-specific clades is revealed.

Biochar effect associated with compost and iron to promote Pb and As soil stabilization and Salix viminalis L. growth
Manhattan Lebrun,Florie Miard,Romain Nandillon,Gabriella S. Scippa,Sylvain Bourgerie,Domenico Morabito +5 more
TL;DR: Among the different treatments, the use of compost or a biochar-compost combination showed better results in terms of improvement of soil conditions, increase in plant growth and reduced translocation of metal(loid)s towards upper parts, making these two treatments a valuable option for a field trial.

Effect of biochar amendments on the mobility and (bio) availability of As, Sb and Pb in a contaminated mine technosol
Tonia Lomaglio,Nour Hattab-Hambli,Alain Bret,Florie Miard,Dalila Trupiano,Gabriella S. Scippa,Mikael Motelica-Heino,Sylvain Bourgerie,Domenico Morabito +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of biochar addition (2% and 5%) on a former mine technosol characterized by high levels of PTE were investigated in laboratory during short-term experiments where technosols were potted and cultivated with dwarf beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) as indicator plants.

Assisted phytostabilization of a multicontaminated mine technosol using biochar amendment: Early stage evaluation of biochar feedstock and particle size effects on As and Pb accumulation of two Salicaceae species (Salix viminalis and Populus euramericana)
Manhattan Lebrun,Manhattan Lebrun,Florie Miard,Romain Nandillon,Jean-Christophe Léger,Nour Hattab-Hambli,Gabriella S. Scippa,Sylvain Bourgerie,Domenico Morabito +8 more
TL;DR: Results showed that biochar was efficient in improving soil physico-chemical properties and reducing Pb soil pore water concentrations and this amelioration allowed plant growth and increased dry weight production of both species.

Novel glycosynthons for glycoconjugate preparation: oligosaccharylpyroglutamylanilide derivatives
C. Quetard,Sylvain Bourgerie,Nadia Normand-Sdiqui,†,‡,Roger Mayer,Gérard Strecker,Patrick Midoux,† and Annie-Claude Roche,Michel Monsigny +7 more
TL;DR: The reducing sugar of an oligosaccharide reacting with the alpha-amino group of an amino acid is converted to an N-oligosaccharylglutamyl-p-nitroanilide which can be used to prepare glycoconjugates such as cationic glycosylated polylysines suitable for specifically delivering genes or oligonucleotides in a sugar-dependent manner.
