TL;DR: The genome of a 5-year-old male who presented with global developmental delay, hypotonia, possibly ataxia, and cerebellar hypoplasia of unknown origin is investigated, and a probable candidate variant, p.Ser1600Gly, emerged in TAF1, suggesting a key role in the development of a recently described X-linked syndrome, Taf1 intellectual disability syndrome.
