Laser-fabricated dielectric optical components for surface plasmon polaritons.
Carsten Reinhardt,Sven Passinger,Boris N. Chichkov,Carsten Marquart,Ilya P. Radko,Sergey I. Bozhevolnyi +5 more
TL;DR: Using the 2PP technique, narrow dielectric ridges with dimensions as small as 150 nm on metal surfaces are fabricated and SPP excitation with the laser-fabricated structures and guiding along them are demonstrated.
Rapid laser prototyping of plasmonic components
Carsten Reinhardt,Roman Kiyan,Sven Passinger,Andrey L. Stepanov,Andreas Ostendorf,Boris N. Chichkov +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a two-photon polymerization (2PP) technique was used for the fabrication of dielectric surface plasmon polaritons (SPP) structures.

Investigations on the generation of photonic crystals using two‐photon polymerization (2PP) of inorganic–organic hybrid polymers with ultra‐short laser pulses
Ruth Houbertz,P. Declerck,Sven Passinger,Aleksandr Ovsianikov,Jesper Serbin,Boris N. Chichkov +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D photonic bandgap material for femtosecond laser-based photonic elements is proposed, which is based on two-photon polymerization (2PP).
42
Three Dimensional Material Processing with Femtosecond Lasers
Aleksandr Ovsianikov,Sven Passinger,Ruth Houbertz,Boris N. Chichkov +3 more
- 01 Jan 2007
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed the recent progress in 3D microstructuring of photosensitive materials by femtosecond lasers and discussed the potential applications of this technology with many potential applications.

Novel efficient design of Y-splitter for surface plasmon polariton applications.
Sven Passinger,Andreas Seidel,Christoph Ohrt,Carsten Reinhardt,Andrey L. Stepanov,Roman Kiyan,Boris N. Chichkov +6 more
TL;DR: A more efficient and robust configuration of the Y-splitter for surface plasmon polaritons is proposed, guided by dielectric-loaded waveguides.
