Public understanding of artificial intelligence through entertainment media
Karimian Nader,Paul Toprac,Suzanne Scott,S. Baker +3 more
TL;DR: The American public’s knowledge of AI is patchy: some have a good understanding of what is and what is not AI, but many do not, and those who believe AI is realistically depicted in entertainment media were more likely to see AIs as potential emotional partners or apocalyptic robots than to imagine AIs taking over jobs or operating as surveillance tools.

Attenuation of Heparan Sulfate Proteoglycan Binding Enhances In Vivo Transduction of Human Primary Hepatocytes with AAV2.
Marti Cabanes-Creus,Adrian Westhaus,Adrian Westhaus,Renina Gale Navarro,Grober Baltazar,Erhua Zhu,Anais K. Amaya,Sophia H.Y. Liao,Suzanne Scott,Suzanne Scott,Erwan Sallard,Kimberley L. Dilworth,Arkadiusz Rybicki,Matthieu Drouyer,Claus V. Hallwirth,Antonette Bennett,Giorgia Santilli,Adrian J. Thrasher,Mavis Agbandje-McKenna,Ian E. Alexander,Ian E. Alexander,Leszek Lisowski +21 more
TL;DR: The results support the hypothesis that enhanced H SPG binding can negatively affect the in vivo function of otherwise strongly hepatotropic variants and that modulation of the interaction with HSPG is critical to ensure maximum efficiency in vivo.

Single amino acid insertion allows functional transduction of murine hepatocytes with human liver tropic AAV capsids
Marti Cabanes-Creus,Renina Gale Navarro,Sophia H.Y. Liao,Grober Baltazar,Matthieu Drouyer,Erhua Zhu,Suzanne Scott,Suzanne Scott,Clement Luong,Laurence O. W. Wilson,Ian E. Alexander,Ian E. Alexander,Leszek Lisowski +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the key determinants of the observed differential interspecies transduction abilities among AAV variants were investigated, and a threonine insertion at position 265 within variable region I (VR-I) was identified as the key residue that confers murine hepatic transduction to human-derived clade B (AAV2-like) and clade C(AAV3b)-like) variants.
Organic Tissue Dissolution in Clodronate and Etidronate Mixtures with Sodium Hypochlorite.
TL;DR: Soon after mixing, clodronate mixtures better dissolve organic material than etidronate-hypochlorite mixtures and have higher residual FAC.

Characterization of the humanized FRG mouse model and development of an AAV-LK03 variant with improved liver lobular biodistribution
Marti Cabanes-Creus,Renina Gale Navarro,Sophia H.Y. Liao,Suzanne Scott,Rodrigo Carlessi,Ramon Roca-Pinilla,Maddison Knight,Grober Baltazar,Erhua Zhu,Matthew Jones,Elena Denisenko,Alistair R. R. Forrest,Ian E. Alexander,Janina E.E. Tirnitz-Parker,Leszek Lisowski +14 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the validity of a liver xenograft mouse model repopulated with primary hepatocytes using single-nucleus RNA sequencing (sn-RNA-seq) by studying the transcriptomic profile of human hepatocytes pre- and post-engraftment.
