Ordered mesoporous carbon molecular sieves with functionalized surfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, ordered mesoporous carbon molecular sieves were synthesized by using nanocasting technique with the synthetic procedures reported previously after carboxylic acid groups were generated on the carbon frameworks through the partial oxidation with nitric acid, pore walls were functionalized with various organic and organometallic functional groups using esterification and amidization reactions.

Selective catalytic activity of ball-shaped Pd@MCM-48 nanocatalysts.
TL;DR: The unique nanocatalysts not only feature unprecedented complete hydrogenolysis selectivity of a benzyl ether over hydrogenation of a double bond, but also demonstrate selective cleavage of unsubstituted benzyl Ether over substituted Benzyl ethers.

Selective Catalytic Activity of Ball-Shaped Pd@MCM-48 Nanocatalysts.
TL;DR: In this article, a ball-shaped palladium nanocatalysts, Pd@MCM-48, was used to achieve complete hydrogenolysis selectivity of a benzyl ether over hydrogenation of a double bond.
